WebA lithography (more formally known as ‘photolithography’) system is essentially a projection system. Light is projected through a blueprint of the pattern that will be printed (known as a ‘mask’ or ‘reticle’). With the pattern encoded in the light, the system’s optics shrink and focus the pattern onto a photosensitive silicon wafer. WebLitographic transfer print on wood. Originally designed in 1950, this is one of four re-editions made in 2001. Marked and dated. Back is lacquered black. Condition: Excellent, minor wear consistent with age and use. Does not have wheels as the previous owner used it as a wall decoration. Width: 79” fully extended Depth: 1.25” Height: 79”
